How to Cut in Paint Edges with a Brush?

Painting is an art form in which you have to fill colors of your own ideas, most of the people don’t know about painting but it's not that hard to paint by yourself, you just need to follow some techniques.

Before you begin painting walls, door or some of your home interiors, just start with the cut in the edges with a paint brush. At some of the places such as at the ceiling lines, corners and baseboards rollers can't find the ways to fill the colors.

1.Start with a bucket of clean water then dip a new paintbrush into the bucket. Then attach the paintbrush to a spin dryer.

2.Then hold on the wet brush and slowly spin the brush remove all excess water. When it's done the bristles should be soft and smooth but not wet.

  1. Then Dip the paintbrush into the paint of bucket, apply paint onto about two-thirds half of the bristles.
  2. Apply a vertical stripe of paint parallels to the door about 1 inch away from the casing.

5.Then push down the brush to flare out the bristles to draw the nice clean line along the edge of the casing.

6.If you need to Stop, when necessary, and grab more paint from the vertical stripe and continue to paint alongside the casing.

  1. If you are planning to paint the casings after finishing the painting the walls, then allow the cut-in paint to overlap slightly onto the edge of the casing.
  2. If the paint starts to dry along the upper portion of the paintbrush, then stop painting and wash off the bristles with clean water. Then spin the bristles dry and continue the cutting painting.
  3. If you are painting the baseboards after painting the walls, then allow the cut-in paint to overlap slightly onto the top edge of the baseboard.
  4. If the baseboard is already painted, then use the painter tape to protect the edges before cutting in along the bottom of the wall.

11.If you get messy around the cutting and need to remove the wet paint drips.Then wrap a cotton cloth tightly at the end of 5-in-1 painter’s tool.Then carefully scrape off the wet pain drip.
