Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside is 'day-to-day' following injury. He is with a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee which was revealed through MRI. However, Miami Heat has not revealed about how severe the sprain is and this is posing an extra difficulty on saying how long would Whiteside be missing.
USA Today reports “Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry sustained a grade 1 MCL sprain April 24 against the Houston Rockets, and the team said Curry would be re-evaluated in two weeks. Curry hasn’t played since the injury.”
After an injury, Whiteside was forced to leave Game 3 against the Toronto Raptors. Whiteside sounds pessimistic about his chances of returning to the series.
Whiteside says while it's the same knee that was bothering him. But not related, "My knee went 2 different ways."

After the MRI, the Heat announced that he is day-to-day after spraining the MCL in his right knee but do not confirm anything about when the player is coming back. SO, nothing could be said with certainty.
