Halloween is traditionally known as All Hallows’ Evening which falls on October 31. It is always the eve of Christian festival All Saints’ Day or a day before November 1.

Though Halloween is celebrated in many western countries, it was originally a European Traditions. We always talk about celebrities and their personal gossip, but today we are going to talk about Halloween and it's origin. Stick with us.

Halloween and It's Origin

Back in the 8th century, Halloween got originated from the ancient Gaelic festival, Samhain in European Tradition. Ancient people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts, in order to protect their crops.

They would set tables for good spirit to scare evil ghosts. It was a day to celebrate the end of the harvest season or we can say “summer's end”.

Since the ancient days, Halloween has evolved into a day of fun activities like trick-or-treating and carving jack-o-lanterns with big orange Pumpkin. On most of the places around the world, people celebrate the end of long days and short nights and welcome winter.
