Greg Berlanti still has to fight for his shows, despite being the producer of the year.

The open gay producer, Greg Berlanti who just welcomed his son through surrogacy is the producer of the year.

Despite being the producer of the year, he still fights for his show. Producer Berlanti has done his better works in Everwood, Jack & Bobby, Brothers & Sisters, The Mysteries of Laura, Blindspot, and CBS' Supergirl.

Berlanti has risen to fame with the shows like Arrow and The Flash.  

 

He is behind the five series of the CW which covers 33% of the network’s lineup and if all series would fall on the schedule next year, then he would be covering 50% of network’s lineup. Even though he is fighting for the shows.

In an interview, when Berlanti was asked about his struggle in film, he said-     

I've had a lot of stuff not work on TV, too. I've had as much failure in this business as I've had success, across both spectrums. We can count pillows! (Laughs.) But Green Lantern is a great one to point to. I got fired from that movie as a writer and as a director, and yet my name was all over it. I still get blamed for it, even though I had nothing to do with the finished product. As Marc Guggenheim always says, there's a very Google-able script that we did write that was not executed that I still stand by. But at the time, I thought, "Oh God, that noose will hang around
