German Tennis Star Dustin Brown dating stunning Dione Gonzales, The World No. 80's career earnings £960,000

German tennis star Dustin Brown has won hearts along with his big sports win.

Brown made headlines after he defeated the 14 time major champion, Rafael Nadal. This year’s Wimbledon has been one hell of a ride for Brown. He defeated Taiwanese tennis player, Yen-hsun Lu. In the second round, Brown won against Rafael Nadal, who has been called “the greatest clay court player in history.” This was his second victory against Nadal. His match with Nadal was deemed the match of his career. However, he lost to Serbian player Victor Troicki. He lost the match 3-1.

The 6 feet 5 inches right-hander, however is not let down by this. He said that he was happy to have this far. In an interview with The Guardian, (when asked whether he regrets it) Brown said, “It doesn't help to think that way," He continued, "Afterwards of course you're always smarter. But playing all-out attack is my game, it always has been, and if I hadn't been so aggressive I probably wouldn't have got to the point where I had the chance to win. It's easy to beat yourself up afterwards, but on any of those match points he could have missed a shot. That's just tennis. I'm not about to change the way I play."

Brown was born to Jamaican father Leroy and German mother Inge. The family lived in Celle, Germany and later migrated to Jamaica, when Dustin was just 11 years old. As per media reports, this move was partly to discipline Brown on the court and partly because the cost of playing Tennis in Germany was quite high.

Dustin who was earlier playing other sports like football, judo and handball started to focus on tennis at age 8. Talking about growing up in a developing country, Dustin has said, "Things were just so different. Coming from Germany, having a Game Boy, cable TV and stuff and going to Jamaica and having to realize, 'Shit, there are other things in the world that are important.' I'm very thankful that happened. Maybe without going there I wouldn't be where I am right now."

At age 20, Brown moved back to Germany because he was dissatisfied with tennis in Jamaica. His parents gifted him a Van the same year so it would be easier for him to travel to Tournaments and he didn’t have to waste money on hotels. He would earn money by re-stringing his fellow tennis players broken racquet strings.

While Brown has been known in the tennis world for quite a while now, he perhaps tasted wider fame after his win against Nadal in the 2015 Wimbledon championships. However, Nadal had already been beaten by Brown in the 2014 Gerry Weber Open.

The 30 year old Brown is currently ranked world no 80 best tennis player according to the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings. Brown’s career earnings currently stand at £960,000.

While he is achieving success in tennis court, on personal front, the tennis pro Brown is currently dating Dione Gonzales. His beautiful girlfriend, Gonzales often posts cute messages for Brown on Instagram and Twitter and also has posted their lovely and swet couple pictures. While, Brown is a avid user of Twitter and has over 61,000 followers and became the first player to wear his Twitter handle, @Dreddytennis on his tennis shirt when he played Wimbledon in 2013. It’s something certainly amazing!!
