Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon talks about his character Ramsay Bolton.

With only 3 days remaining for the premiere of the new season of HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones”, let’s talk about one of the most hated characters on the show. Just when we thought there could be no character we’d hate more than Joffrey Baratheon, BOOM! Ramsay Bolton showed up in the series giving us plenty of reasons to hate him with the onset of every episode!

But Iwan Rheon is nothing like Ramsay in real life, so it's actually some tough job for the actor to play the malicious psychopath Ramsay!

In an interview with The New York Times, he talked about his character Ramsay as a mash-up of Heath Ledger’s unhinged Joker and Dennis the Menace, with a bit of swagger of Liam Gallagher, the dyspeptic former Oasis singer.

According to Sophie Turner who plays Sansa Stark in the show, after the death of the Joffrey, the show was missing some psychopath to be hated on and apparently Rheon’s character fills the space with a terror and creepiness that Joffrey never had.

In the new season, according to Rheon, the character of Ramsay deepens further, even approaching something like human emotion in mourning a girlfriend killed in the Season 5 finale.

“That surprised even me,” he said.

Of course, it also finds him furious over last season’s escape of his captives Sansa and Theon, played by Alfie Allen, the young nobleman he castrated, forced into servitude and renamed Reek.

However Alfie Allen has some pretty good things to say about Rheon despite their onscreen abomination,
“He’s just a really nice fellow. I couldn’t put a finger on why he makes a good psychopath.”

After all the kiss-and-make-up thing seems to have worked out pretty well for Alfie and Iwan, who hugged and kissed on the Tuesday night episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The actors were prompted by the host, Jimmy Kimmel to prove their on-screen feud is not real.

The kiss sent GOT fans into a hysterical frenzy all over the social media.
