Gabby Agbonlahor has been suspended from Aston Villa after he was pictured with laughing gas canisters.

Gabby Agbonlahor has been suspended from Aston Villa after he was allegedly pictured with laughing gas canisters.

The 29-year-old was pictured partying with friends at the Mayfair Hotel in London on the same night Aston Villa was relegated from the Premier League.

Pictures emerged depicting Agbonlahor partying and downing shots at the hotel with two women and friends just hours later Villa was defeated from Manchester United.

Having been under a two-week intensive fitness program, the controversial striker was not involved in the squad at Old Trafford.

Moreover, he was pictured surrounded by empty cans nitrous oxide and inhaling the gas through a balloon.

This is not the first time Gabby has been entangled in a scandal involving the use of laughing gas.

Earlier this month, the striker was pictured smoking a shisha pipe during a trip to Dubai during the March International break.

Though no further action was taken, Villa has decided to launch an internal investigation.

In a statement, the club announced its decision saying:

"Aston Villa Football Club has today suspended Gabby Agbonlahor pending an internal investigation. This is following allegations concerning his conduct at the weekend. There will be no further comment from the Club in relation to this matter until the investigation has been completed."

Though nitrous oxide is not illegal, it has been prohibited in England and Wales to be sold to under aged.

In response to the allegations, the striker posted a picture of himself holding a bottle of mineral water on his Instagram.
