Not only had the physical appearance, also the name of the toy resembled Harris Faulkner. Faulkner furthermore added that the packing with details written like "Harris Faulkner is a choking hazard" made her super upset. She also explained that the product has made her feel humiliated, insulting and demeaning in the market.

In response to Faulkner's lawsuit, the company argued that their toy "Harris Faulkner" is actually not similar to journalist Harris Faulkner at all. The company also furthermore added that the name-sameness is not enough to claim. It was not a complete proof to state a valid right of publicity claim.

Discussing up the topic, U.S District Judge Katharine Hayden explains:

“In the specialized context of Hasbro's successful toy line 'world,' in which the hamster is admittedly 'a character' designed to be played with, Faulkner's allegation that this doll bears her unusual celebrity name sufficiently pleads a violation of the right of publicity."

In their first complaint, Faulkner demanded not only just money but also she wants the full accounting of how much cash the Hasbro had actually earned from her likeness toy. She also wanted the sale of the top to stop. This is actually indicating that Faulkner won the lawsuit. Harris Faulkner settled the lawsuit against Hasbro. She added $5 million to her net worth. Her net worth is estimated to be around $4 million.
