We all know the famous singer Halsey who collaborated with Chainsmoker and gave her vocals in 2016's biggest hit Closer. She is one of the most sensational singers of the current generation. Her musical journey didn't take off just so as she wasn't born with the silver spoon, she rather worked very hard to be where she is at today.

Before begin exploring some of the facts, let's deal with a short bio of Ashley Nicolette Frangipane known to the music world as Halsey. Halsey was born on September 29, 1994, as Ashley Nicolette Frangipane. The American singer-songwriter pocked her stage name Halsey was picked from Street station in New York City Subway in Brooklyn.

She frequent went viral on some social media platform for her self-released music. She turned mainstream after she was signed by Astralwerks in 2014. Releasing her extended record called Room 93 (2014) she entered the mainstream media. Releasing Badlands in 2015 she became a platinum record artist as per Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

After her album topped many charts she collaborated with The Chainsmoker and released the hit song Closer to mark her success in the music industry.

Fact No 1

Frangipane defines herself as bisexual. Surprised? Well, you don't need to be that surprised as people are free to make their preferences and she does have a good side of it! After her career picked speed, the first thing that the singer did was put her brother through college.  Education is highly important to her as she was provided a scholarship but had to pass it up as she couldn't afford the studies.

Halsey before her successful collaboration with the Chainsmoker already had toured for some of the biggest bands like Imagine Dragon, The Kooks and Imagine Dragon even promoted her upcoming album in 2014 while they were at tours together.

She further has successfully collaborated with Canadian Pop singer Justin Biever along with famous Norwegian singer Lido.

Fact No. 4

Tattoos have different meanings for different people and so does Halsey too. She has several tattoos but the tattoo she has on the back of her wrist above Ulna has a very deep meaning. The Singer said that she will have it painted in flames after she reaches her full potential.

Fact No. 5

She is a humanitarian and also a Social Activist. On September 10, 2017, Halsey participated in the mental health and suicide prevention awareness campaign "I'm Listening", hosted by radio network Entercom and broadcast live.

How many of you know that she was among the women who delivered a speech at the Women's March on January 20, 2018, in New York City.  She instead of addressing the women's agenda in a regular fashion performed a poem titled "A Story Like Mine," in which she told personal stories of sexual assault and violence throughout her life.
