Finally the tennis legendary, Serena Williams will make comeback to Tennis after four months her delivery

Serena Williams gave birth to a baby daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr on September 1st this year. The last match even gave us the vibe of being the perfect bookend for a legendary like her.

Williams had won the victory against sister Venus in the seventh Australian Open while she was still in her first trimester.

Now four months after her delivery, the 23 grand slam trophies proud owner let the world know of her return to the game by outing a statement,

“I’m delighted to be returning to the court in Abu Dhabi for the first time since the birth of my daughter in September.”

She is set to play against the 20 years old Latvian, Jelena Ostapenko at the World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi. Jelena is a French Open champion.

While this is their first match facing each other as opponents, the match itself will be the first time women will be playing in the event.

Since the championship is a men's singles professional and is now sponsored by Mubadala.

Many tennis players have made greater achievements after being a mother. Evonne Goolagong was one of such, becoming the first mother, to win Wimbledon in the year 1980. Before her, Dorothea Lambert Chambers had become the Wimbledon winner, 66 years earlier.

Not saying that Williams has anything left to prove, but let’s see what new paradigms she will set for the upcoming generations.
