Even Ike Barinholtz's wife, married since 2009, does not know who he is playing in Suicide Squad!!

Ike Barinholtz is up for a new role in the highly anticipated movie Suicide Squad (set to release on Aug 5, 2016) but he has so far managed to keep his role under wraps. While The Mindy Project co-star has hushed what his actual role is going to be, he has been leaving subtle hints.

"I can tell you my character in that movie is someone you would not want at your house for dinner. He’s a very troubled human being," he said about his Suicide Squad role.

Talking to Zap2it, the funnyman, who has been updating on set pictures via his Instagram also added that he tried to bring some comedy into the role and the movie itself. He said that despite the movie's seriousness, he and his co-workers bought humor to the set.

"The trailer is very serious", Barinholtz said.

"But David Ayer is a psychopath! And as much as he loves the dark and exploring the disturbed side of society, it’s not like you’re telling jokes, but if you can just kind of in the moment try to play things a little honestly and react to these giant, huge superhero things that are happening, funny stuff can kind of happen and there can be laughs from it."

"Will Smith is a very funny guy, Jai Courtney is actually a very funny guy, Margot Robbie is actually funny, so I think there is going to be some moments in that that actually make people laugh." He added.

While he tried to maintain the mystery of his super-secret role (apparently even his wife, TV producer Erica Hanson is unaware of it), he did say that we might find out about it in the new trailer.

Barinholtz and his wife Hanson welcomed a baby girl into their family about two months ago. Barinholtz excitedly announced the pregnancy on April this year. "I am reading a couple of books," he told US magazine about how he was preparing for fatherhood. "I need like, a baby comic book."

The comedian could not help but joke a little. He added, "My wife and I just started arguing about (baby names) recently, so we haven't even had a top three,"

"Uh, Nicki Minaj Barinholtz, Carrie Underwood Barinholtz, Randy Jackson Barinholtz -- and not Randy, the full name Randy Jackson. We do have name books, but they're boring. Just literally a list of names."

Two months later, the couple became parents to a baby girl. On father's day, Barinholtz posted a picture of him in a stained shirt on his Twitter page and captioned it, "My new daughter spitting up on me is my first father's day gift and my favorite present ever."

Barinholtz and the TV producer got married in 2009 after dating for a few years.
