'ER' star Goran Visnjic on 'Crossing Lines' Season 3, Plays 'Marco Cozzano' on action-crime drama's new season

‘ER’ star Goran Visnjic is all set to star in the season 3 of the NBC’s crime drama series “Crossing Lines”. Reportedly, this charming Croat actor has been signed to the play the role of Marco Cozanno along with Lost’s actress Elizabeth Mitchell. The new season of the popular action-crime show is all-ready to entertain and thrill the audiences pretty soon.

Crossing lines is a European TV series whose first season premiered in different European countries. The show is a Europe based action/crime drama where the lead character Carl Hickman fights the explosion of international crime that accompanied the opening of borders by the European Union.

Reports have that the Prison Break’s William Fitchner who portrayed the character of Hickman won’t be coming back for the eagerly awaited new season.

Now that the protagonist of the series is gone, Visnjic and Mitchell will be taking over the seat of the lead roles. Though Visnjic is not very active in Social Media, we all hope that he'd soon give the updates on his Twitter.

Besides these two new faces, the show will also have a new executive producer. Frank Spotnitz, the X-Files fame has signed on as the executive producer. Visnjic and Mitchell will play new team members Marco Corazza and Carine Strand.

Donald Sutherland the wicked President Snow of the Hunger Games series will be joining them along with the other old cast Lara Rossi and Tom Wlaschiha while Stuart Martin (Babylon) and Naomi Battrick (Waterloo Road) also will make their debut as series regulars in the new season.

While, the Croat actor must be all-excited about his latest venture. Few may know that, Goran was one of four finalists to play the role of James Bond that he eventually lost to his "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" co-star Daniel Craig. Often considered as one of the most sexiest actors, the 42 year old is married to an artist and sculptor Eva Visnjic.

His father-in-law, the Croat film director Antun Vrdoljak served as controversial head of Croatian Radiotelevision during early 1990s.

The couple have two adopted children, son Tin and daughter Vivien Sofia and also have a biological son, Vigo Leo together. Visnjic also has a daughter named Lana Lourdes Rupic whom he fathered from an affair with Croat woman Mirela Rupic. He has acknowledged the paternity of his daughter, Lana.

The third season of ‘Crossing Lines’ takes place six months after the events of the Season 2 finale, with Sutherland’s character bringing together the team after a top prosecutor vanishes.

And as deadline.com reveals, Sutherland who reprises the role of Michel Dorn, after the prosecutor vanishes Dorn must reactivate the ICC team as the group struggles to re-establish its battered identity. The third season will have a new emphasis on relevant and contemporary cross-border crime.

Now that the crime lawyer has vaporized, it is the team’s job to solve the case and heighten their fallen persona of International Criminals Court. Sounds pretty interesting, so all geared up to watch how the excitement unfolds in the third season of ‘Crossing Lines’
