Ellie Kemper is pregnant and Tina Fey is thankful about it.

Just last week Ellie Kemper announced that she is expecting her first baby with her husband, Michael Koman.

Kemper is famous as the star of the critically-acclaimed Netflix original series Unbreakable  Kimmy Schmidt . Earlier,  Kemper  was able to keep the pregnancy a secret but later after knowing about the writer’s plan to write on an episode of Kimmy’s character riding a roller coaster, she had to speak up about her pregnancy.

Tina Fey, the writer of the series, is thankful about Kemper’s pregnancy. According to People, Fey said, "Thanks to Ellie Kemper's pregnancy, we have this whole summer to focus on it." And Fey said it jokingly at the Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday.

The reason behind Fey thanking for Kemper’s pregnancy is that she could get time for other projects. Reportedly Fey was too busy focusing on the series Mean Girls: The Musical  but due to the pregnancy of Kemper she got some free time to think about something else.

Kemper publicly announced her pregnancy on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Who congratulated Kemper with some Ben and Jerry’s Tonight’s dough ice-cream, a chocolate, and peanut butter cookie mix.

In the show, Kemper joked with Fallon, saying  "I told Tina before I told my mom. You can trust Tina. You cannot trust my mom."

Kemper turns out to be the most thoughtful employee; a girl could ask for.

Kemper’s fans were curious whether the pregnancy of Kemper would affect her character or not. Fey has not planned to write about the pregnancy in the show, even though she regarded the idea in the second season of the show.

Fey stated-

"I was, a little bit protecting myself in case we needed an on-camera pregnancy."

So Kemper’s (Kimmy) fans should know that there is no interruption on the way.
