The president seems very much confident regarding the win at the first round of voting in the country’s presidential election.

The preliminary results from Sunday’s election showed that the Republic's president is at the safe position if the margin were to be sustained.

From the 15% of the polling stations, Danilo’s alliance was successful to gain 61% of the vote in Sunday’s election. If the margin were to be sustained, he is almost set to avoid a runoff election in June.

The preliminary results revealed that even Medina’s closest rival, Luis Abinader, who is a business person by profession was able to secure just 35%. And to be clear the six candidates combined who remained on the other, had less than 4% of the votes.

Here is twitter.

As you see, the result is pretty vivid about Danilo Medina being set to be re-elected but again who knows?
