Dolph Lundgren wants to play Cable in Deadpool 2.

With Deadpool becoming an unexpected R-rated hit, the sequel and the new character Cable  already been teased, it seems ‘80s action legend Dolph Lundgren wants to play the role of Cable in the sequel. Cable is  Deadpool’s partner in action and Cyclop’s and Jean Greys’ clone’s son from the future.Ironically, the post credit scene named Dolph Lundgren as a potential candidate for the character along with Mel Gibson and Kiera Knightley? Wondering how she will fit in?

According to Nerdist, Dolph who played Punisher in the Movie Punisher (1989) is not up to date with superhero movies, but he definitely loved the movie with the . Dolph stated that he would like to play the role of Cable, who he says looks somewhat like him, we agree, he does. With his remarkable performance in movies like Rocky IV (1985), Punisher (1989), The Expendables series and other movies, we doubt that he can screw it up.

"That's a good question. I haven't watched a lot of these superhero movies; for some reason, I don't know, I'm just busy making films. I did hear in... Deadpool, isn't there a character named Cable that's coming? Like, he's a big guy? I guess I could kick some butt doing that, I suppose. We'll see. When I saw the picture, he looks a little bit like Ivan Drago mixed with Gunner Jensen mixed with... I don't know."

Deadpool showed us that you don’t have to censor the movie to make it fucking awesome. At the unusual end credit scene, this comic hero gave us some massive teaser that the next Deadpool is fucking happening and it will have another fucking cool character.

Anyone who has watched the movie till the absolute end might already know that Ryan Reynolds told us that the sequel will bring Cable to the movie and they might choose anyone for the role. This gave rise to various possible male cast for the role. Kevin Nash, Mel Gibson, Stephen Lang. Although the cast is not fixed Lundgren is a strong potential candidate.

I guess, it’s not only Lundgren who wants to play the role.

Who do you think is best for the role?
