Dita Von Teese opens up about her diet regime, 'Queen of Burlesque' attributes healthy lifestyle for her dreamy body

It seems that age is just a mere number, and those of us who say it does, the ever-beautiful Dita Von Teese is the perfect example. So, what is the secret to her ever envious and svelte body?

The Burlesque star, aged 42, in one of her interviews, shared her tips for an eye-catching and super-hot body.

I practice good habits in my everyday life,” Von Teese told the UK-based publication. “Nothing’s a real shock to my body. I don’t touch coffee; I don’t drink much alcohol; I don’t smoke; I eat healthily. And I usually want to put weight on rather than lose it, because my normal regimen is so strenuous.”

Her diet excludes any meat products as she is vegan during the day. She has protein in the evenings to keep her feeling full longer. In the mornings, Teese skips the java for tea and a green smoothie. Then during lunch time, she has more fresh greens.

“I find that, if I only eat a vegetable-based diet in the day, I have a lot more energy,” explains Von Teese. “I don’t eat dairy or carbs or bread at all. At the end of the day, as usual, I have some animal protein: usually fish or eggs, although about twice a month I might have some red meat.”

“I try to eat organic if I can–especially in America, where you have no idea what they’ve put in your food,” adds Von Teese, who spent about half of her time in France. “I don’t eat desserts, but I always carry a small bar of dark chocolate with me in case I crave something sweet. If I crave salt, I’ll have something like eggs with truffle salt or smoked sea salt.”

Now that’s one difficult diet plan to follow!

The ageless beauty is best known for her burlesque routines and is frequently dubbed the "Queen of Burlesque" in the press. After beginning performing burlesque in 1992, she has gone on to become an icon in this form of dance seduction. Internet is all flooded with her dance videos, and her performances are sure to excite ones nerves! She also has a book in her name titled: Burlesque and the Art of the Teese.

The stripper cum costume designer has had several love interests. She was married to Marilyn Manson from 2005 till 2007. Manson is an American musician and first met her after asking Teese to star in her music video. Prior to her wedding with Marilyn Manson, she was also linked to vocalist/guitarist Mike Ness of Social Distortion and to actor Peter Sarsgaard.

Not only this, she has also spoken of several same-sex experiences and dated French aristocrat Louis-Marie de Castelbajac from 2009 to 2012.  Recently, she was spotted with a mystery man during her dinner date in West Hollywood. May be she is trying find love.

The NYC burlesque dancer is also a designer. She has designed a new lingerie range with Wonderbra. In May 2012, Dita Von Teese launched her makeup collection "Classics"- a collection of compact powder, blushers, eye styler, eye shadows, mascara and lipsticks  in partnership with the German cosmetic brand Art Deco. She also launched her own clothing line and underwear line called Von Follies the same year. A year later, Dita was both model and muse for the 'Dita' 3D printed gown designed by Michael Schmidt and Francis Bitonti. In 2014, Von Teese began working with Myer, an Australian department store, on a lingerie line fronted by Australian model Stefania Ferrario

A designer and dancer, her sensuality has also earned her works in movies and music videos. She has starred in videos for the Green Day song "Redundant”, "Zip Gun Bop" by swing band Royal Crown Revue, "She's Lost Control," and "Mobscene" by Marilyn Manson. She was also featured in a striptease/burlesque act in George Michael's live tour 2008, for the song "Feelin' Good" and appeared in the music video "Up in the Air" by Thirty Seconds to Mars.

To add to the list, Dita Von Teese also has a number of great quotes to her name. How she thinks of these are not deductible but she appears to be one talented girl. Here’s one of her quotes,

“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches.” Well said, Dita!
