Delbert McClinton and his wife and their children are all into music.

Blues-rock musician Delber McClinton has a pretty interesting family. From Delbert to his wife Wendy Goldstein to his son Clay McClinton everyone in the house seems to be a music prodigy.

Delbert has been married three times. He has three children- two sons with each of his previous wife and a daughter with his present wife Wendy. He refers Wendy as Forever wife. It’s very romantic unless you realize that being married to only one wife is way more romantic.

In 2014, Wendy was promoted to Executive Vice President of A&R. She had collaborated with famous singer Ariana Grande and released Yours Truly in 2013. It was an instant hit debuting No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 and yielding a No.1 double platinum smash.

His son Clay also needs no introduction. Following in his father’s footsteps, he has taken a gigantic step of his own in the world of music. One of his album Out of the Blue in 2004 is widely praised by the audiences as his finest piece of art. Some of his other noted albums are Son of a Gun, Livin’ Out Loud, Biting at the Bit, etc.

Some of Delbert’s most memorable songs are Giving It Up for Your Love, Every Time I Roll the Dice, Never Been Rocked Enough, Standing on Shaky Ground, etc. Another one of his song Two More Bottles of Wine appeared as a blockbuster hit as the no.1 hit in 1978. His songs are an inspiration to many singers nowadays and have been praised by many. His songs often appear in top 10 of the U.S. Blue charts.

Like many other famous singers out there, Delbert often tours around the US, Canada, and Europe for the promotion of his songs or for satisfying his audiences. Perhaps the most accurate testament to his talent would be his inclusion in Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame. Delbert is not only an accomplished singer but a songwriter, guitarist, pianist as well as a harmonica player. It is believed that John Lennon was into harmonica watching Delbert’s performance.

In 2014, Delbert had a heart surgery. Well, he is past ‘70s and its time health took its toll. But, he is doing very well. He may not be as badass as he may be thirty or forty years ago, but he still knows how to totally rock the show.

Starting his career from a bar band called Straitjackets, he has come a long way to his fame. With his natural talent at music, he was back visited by Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin' Wolf, Lightnin' Hopkins and Jimmy Reed who motivated him to continue on to this career path.

As of 2015, his net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
