Daniel Sunjata set to star in ABC's drama pilot, 'Notorious'

The Graceland actor Daniel Sunjata has been announced to star in ABC 's new legal drama pilot ‘Notorious’.

The series explores the unique, sexy and dangerous interplay of criminal law and the media and is said to be inspired by the true-life stories of famed criminal defense lawyer Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker.

Daniel Sunjata will take on the role of Jake Gregorian, the character inspired by famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos. His character in the series has been described as a charismatic and sexy defense attorney who manipulates the media to win cases at any cost.

Even though his character Jake acts as if he is invincible, he has a soft corner for Julia (the character to be played by actress Piper Perabo) on whom he relies both professionally and personally.

Covert Affairs actress Piper Perabo will co-star alongside Daniel Sunjata in the drama pilot. The role of Julia George inspired by ‘Larry King Live’ news producer Wendy Walker marks the return of the actress to series television.

Sunjata has been one of the most sought-after leading men in the television industry. After courting to a number of offers from multiple broadcast networks, he had finally closed down on ‘Notorious’.

The Graceland star has been professionally active since 1998. He is best known for starring as Franco River in the FX television series Rescue Me. Some of the television shows to his credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Smash, Sex and the City and Law & Oder: SVU.

Sunjata has also appeared in notable movies as The Devil Wears Prada, One for the Money, Gone, and The Dark Knight Rises.

In the upcoming ABC show, Sunjata will star alongside, Kate Jennings Grant, Aimee Teegarden, J. August Richards, and Ryan Guzman.
