Comedian Victoria Wood passes away at 62, after a short battle with Cancer.

Comedy queen Victoria Wood is no more. Wood, aged sixty-two years passed away after a short period battle with cancer. She took her last breath at her North London own home peacefully surrounded by the near and dear ones.

One of the better British comedians on stage and screen was proficient to make people laugh through her jokes and humor. The loss of her is immeasurable and it is the loss of one of the brightest talents.

Her whole family, friends, and colleagues are shocked by her death. Chris Foote Wood, 75, older brother of Wood stated-

My youngest sister’s death came as a great shock, particularly to her two children Grace and Henry who would be absolutely devastated to lose their mother at such a relatively young age.”

Wood’s official twitter site Victoria Wood CBE has tweeted 11 hours ago, “A tribute to our late Victoria Wood, "Victoria Wood Seen on TV", will be on @BBCTwo tomorrow at 7.30pm.”

A number of comedians, entertainers and producers paid tribute to Wood after the news of her death flashed out. Wood’s publicist Neil Reading was the one to confirm the news officially stating-

"Victoria Wood has sadly passed away, after a short but brave battle with cancer,"

He added-                                                                                                              

"The family ask for privacy at this very sad time."

Wood is the multi BAFTA award-winning writer, director, actor, and comedian. English film industry is bearing an immense loss of a multi-talented artist.  

 

We pray Wood’s soul to rest in peace and would like to express deep sympathy and heartfelt condolence towards her unwanted demise.
