Chris Cagle and his wife, Kay are extremely proud of their children.

Chris Cagle is an American country music artist, known at first for writing songs for David Kersh. After signing to Virgin Records Nashville in 2000, Cagle made his debut on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts with the single My Love Goes On and On”, the first single from his debut album Play It Loud. The album, which was certified gold in the United States, also produced the Top 10 hit “Laredo” and “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out”, his only number one hit. He has given lots of hit albums and songs then on, been on tour with the band and given some extraordinary performances. He faced lots of ups and downs while traveling on the road of his career and personal life. He retired in 2015 after having a successful career.

Cagle’s first huge bump in the road of life was his first marriage which proved to be nothing but trouble for him. He even got into a fight with Capitol Records he was working with, which almost ended his career. Cagle married school teacher Elizabeth Filer on September 10, 2001, in Houston, Texas. The marriage ended on October 3, 2005. There was a big court case to deal with the matters that came along with the divorce; He announced on his website that he was not the biological father of his then girlfriend’s baby.

He recalls the whole episode between his marriage and divorce this way; “It’s funny because the last half of my career, a lot of it was drama and embarrassment. I was just scared. The baby thing … I’ve come to grips with the fact that there’s no way I could ever have any control over that situation. I wasn’t even there when it happened .Then, of course, the girlfriend that said that I hit her … I don’t mind talking about it because I didn’t do anything. I threw the purse at her, yes. Even when my counsel asked for a dismissal, the judge said, “I’m not going to dismiss this, Mr. Cagle. I’m going to find you not guilty.” But nobody wants to print that. They just want to print “Cagle’s Scotch Free; Girlfriend Pleads the Fifth.”

He moved to Oklahoma where he met his second wife, Kay. He got married to her in December 2010 and lives a happy life since. Cagle and Kay are proud parents of two daughters Stella and Piper. Cagle is the father of two children as well as a stepfather to Kay’s daughter from previous marriage, Chloe. He mentioned, “Stella was born April 15,2010, and she’s absolutely beautiful. I bonded so heavily with this child after she was born. Then three months later we were pregnant again with Piper [laughs]! I’ve also got step-daughter who’s amazing. I truly hate the word “step-father” and “step-daughter,” but I accept it because her father is a really great guy. After becoming a father, I realized I was in love with my wife before, but watching her be a mom and watching her make our house a home … I fell into a much different kind of love with her” in an interview with Taste of Country.

He mentioned his latest pride and joy is the ranch he has built for his family and his horses. He even got his daughters pony and wants to see them riding the horses when they grow up. His estimated net worth is around $16 million.
