CBS News and PBS Fired Charlie Rose

American television show host and journalist, Charles Peete Rose Jr. aka Charlie Rose has now been fired by CBS News and PBS.

Charles Rose who worked for over 25 years in PBS interview show and five years in CBS This Morning has now ended his career in both CBS and PBS after being alleged for sexual harassment and allegations. Check it out:

On Tuesday, PBS  revealed the parting ways with Charlie Rose. In another hand, CBS announced the news of firing the 75 years old broadcaster, Charlie Rose for his extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior. Details show his alleged unwanted sexual advances towards women.

CBS Evening News reported that three other women alleged him of unwanted sexual contact while working at CBS News.

CBS News President David Rhodes announced the news of Charlie Rose being fired and wrote in a midday memo to the net work's staff that the report was effective immediately.

Rhodes wrote:

Despite Charlie’s important journalistic contribution to our news division, there is absolutely nothing more important, in this or any organization, than ensuring a safe, professional workplace — a supportive environment where people feel they can do their best work.

We need to be such a place.

In another side, spokeswoman Jennifer Rankin Byrne said that PBS terminated the relationship with Rose and canceled the distribution of his programs. Byrne added:

PBS expects all the producers we work with to provide a workplace where people feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect.

Rose is famous for his award-winning program on PBS and co-hosted CBS This Morning since the show's launch back in 2012.
