Bryan Adams cancels his Mississippi concert due to Anti LGBT laws.

"I cannot in good conscience perform in a state where certain people are being denied their civil rights due to their sexual orientation," the Canadian rock star Bryan Adams wrote on Instagram.

Canadian rocker Adams was all set to perform on April 14th at Mississippi Coast Coliseum. He cancels the show after he found out about the anti-LGBT law passed by the state of Mississippi. He made the protest over the state’s new law that allows religious groups and some private business to refuse service to gay couples.

Just two days ago Adams declared the news. He acknowledged-

“Incomprehensible those LGBT citizens are being discriminated against Hopefully Mississippi will right itself, and I can come back and perform to all of my many fans.”

Not only Adams, even the artists like Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band canceled their shows on Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina in a protest over that state’s new law blocking anti-discrimination rules for the LGBT community.

Being a famous artist, Adams is also socially responsible human.  It came as a no surprise that like his fellow artists he did not hesitate to call off his show despite millions looking forward to it.

Adams fans were thrilled about the show, but they got frozen by the news of show’s cancellation.

Adams said USA TODAY "stand in solidarity with all my LGBT friends to repeal this extremely discriminatory bill.”

Phil Bryant, the governor of Mississippi, had signed the HB1523 into law on 5 April along with opposition from equal rights groups and businesses.

Despite the adoption of LGBT law throughout 50 states of  the United States of America, a state of Mississippi created an anti-law against it. As a result, the people who should have benefited from the law are deprived of it.

Phil also stated – “The law offers protection for Christians who adhere to traditional views of marriage and gender roles, which Governor Bryant said, "protects sincerely held religious beliefs and moral convictions."

Regardless of his claim one cannot deny the fact that in today’s world LGBT are growing exponentially, and most of the people accept them. The USA being one of those countries that other tries to follow should not adopt such laws which throw negative impact on the LGBT communtiy. Not only does it impact such group but also the decision of the majority of the countries.

The new law will take effect from 1st July. Not only well-known artists like Adams and Springsteen but also a majority of the public were against it. They protested against it but to no avail.

Many of Adams fans are also joining him in the protest against the anti-LGBT law. And we hope that this protest would be successful, and the LGBT group would not be discriminated anymore.
