Boxer David Haye out of retirement, wants his next fight to be against WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder

It’s been a long time since boxing fans last saw boxer David Haye in the ring. After knocking out boxer Dereck Chisora back in 2012, David Haye has been out of the ring for reasons unknown. A prominent boxer himself, having once been the cruiserweight world champion, the boxing world has been excited since it was announced that Haye would be coming out of his “short term” retirement. And there was more excitement when he expressed his desires to battle against WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder. Former sparring partners, Haye has admitted that Wilder is quite a force to be reckoned with. However, the British fighter was adamant about bringing his A-game against Wilder.

However, despite all the fanfare, given the game of boxing, Haye cannot actually have Wilder on the ring in his next fight. Well it’s a rich sport and given Haye hasn’t been in the ring for several years, the former champion will now be facing the unbeaten Anthony Joshua. Joshua has remained unbeaten in thirteen matches since he turned professional back in 2013 and it is a challenge for Haye as they look set to feud at Wembley.

A former WBA heavyweight champion, Haye has a fine history of wins in his boxing career, with wins against the likes of Arthur Williams, Giacobbe Fragomeni, Jean-Marc Mormeck, Enzo Maccarinelli, Nikolai Valuev and John Ruiz. All of these players are world champions and Haye’s wins also include heavyweights Audley Harrison and Dereck Chisora.

Born to a Jamaican father and a British women, Haye, aged 34, was raised in London for most part of his childhood. Currently living in Beckenham, the boxer is married to wife Natasha. The tall heighted boxer( 6’3”) however has a soft side and usually is seen taking his son out to parks. He was recently seen enjoying a trip to Beckenham park with son Cassius. A North Cyprus citizen and also a UK citizen, his reason for taking a break has not been mentioned. Nonetheless, there were reports that he parted ways with his trainer. After taking a break from boxing, Haye featured in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! this very season.

He was also in news after it was confirmed that the boxer had turned vegan. His reason is pretty clear,

"I watched a TV documentary about how animals are farmed, killed and prepared for us to eat.I saw all those cows and pigs and realised I couldn’t be a part of it any more. It was horrible.” He was voted the 2014 PETA sexiest celebrity in the world as a result of his decision.

With the boxing news of his comeback in limelight, fans have been predicting his style in the social networking site Twitter. A popular figure during his boxing days, the boxer has taken his fans into consideration and constantly checks into Twitter and Instagram to show a glimpse of his personal life. Now that he is set to be back in the ring, boxing fans are sure to delighted.
