Black Lives Matter icon Eric Garner's daughter Erica Garner, dies at 27

Two years in July Eric Garner died a brutal chock hold death from the hands of a white policeman. The world was shocked on seeing the videotape but that surely made one woman's voice stronger which later became the voice of all black community.  Erica Garner fought against racism until she sadly passed away this Saturday.

The woman who finally brought police accountability into general people's attention passed away following a cardiac arrest at a New York hospital on 30th December 2017.

In 2014, her father, Eric Garner, died of chokehold at Staten Island selling untaxed cigarettes. Even after being video tapped the white policeman was not indicted by the grand jury; after people started raising their voices, city agreed to pay a $6-million civil settlement.

Erica's father's last words “I can’t breathe,” later became the slogan of the black lives matter. Even the independent Precidential candidate Bernie Sanders adopted the slogan in his 2016 presidential camping.

Recently, The sad news of Erica's demise was outed by Erica Garner's family via her own twitter account which was managed by her family after her health condition detoriated and Erica underwent the medical treatment at the hospital.

The tweet said that she be remembered as a mother, daughter, sister and aunt with a heart “bigger than the world.”

Erica was diagonised with heart problem while she was pragnant and was going through the treatment process. She suffered an asthma attack and was carried to the hospital after experiancing a heart stroke. She spent days in Coma and the family finally decided to pull off the life support system this saturday.

Lot of admirers are now in a great grif and so are we. She is undoubtedly one of the strong woman who fought her way to equality and against police brutality. The world will surely miss her.
