According to TheWrap reports, Bron Studios’ recently launched genre label, The Realm, which specializes in director-driven movies across multiple genres, has signed on to produce the werewolf infused movie.

The Deadgirl director Marcel Sarmiento, who is renowned for directing segments of the horror anthologies, will be directing the horror-comedy movie The Wildness from a screenplay by Evan Dickson.

As said by Collider, the script of The Wildness was voted to the 2014 Blood List before it was thought to be filmed.

The story follows a ski bum who’s pushing 40 and still has a penchant for drugs, babes and transcendental meditation. He’s forced to become an unlikely hero in order to save a mountainside community too drunk on wild parties and over-development to notice that their kids are being systematically turned into werewolves.

Eventually, the story will soon make its way to theaters with the direction of Sarmiento, who has directed the “D Is for Dogfight” segment of The ABCs of Death and the “Vicious Circles” wraparound story of VHS: Viral.

The movie will be executive produced by Aaron L. Gilbert and Garrick Dion of Bron Studios along with Jason Cloth of Creative Wealth Media Finance.

Casting is already in progress but none of the star cast for the movie has been finalized yet. Production is not expected to start until January and filming will take place in Vancouver.

Horror genre veteran Barbara Crampton has also produced Jackson Stewart’s feature directorial movie Beyond the Gates, which is premiering at the 2016 LA Film Festival. The iconic star produced alongside Amanda Mortimer of Destroy All Entertainment and Georg Kallert and Rob Schroeder of Lodger Films.

The You're Next actress will appear in the new horror thriller Applecart with A.J. Bowen.
