Are Jonathan Demme and his wife Joanne Howard getting divorced?

Apparently, there are rumors that American filmmaker Jonathan Demme is getting divorced from his wife Joanne Howard. If the filmmaker gets divorced, this would be his second time in a row.

Earlier in 1970, Jonathan was married to Evelyn Prucell, a film-maker. After 10 years of their marriage, they decided to split and filed for divorce in 1980.  He does not have any children from his first wife.

Currently he is married to Joanne Howard. They got married in 1987. He has three children with his second wife, who are Josephine Demme, Ramon Castle Demme and Brooklyn James Demme.

Jonathan and Joanne have been married for almost 29 years now. But we have been hearing rumors regarding their divorce. Are rumors true?

Since Jonathan has already been divorced earlier after 10 years of marriage, he might again get divorced from his wife after almost 29 years of marriage.

Strong buzz claims that recently the couple is having relationship problems in their lives. Even after 29 years of their marriage the couple is facing compatibility issues.

During the 1980s, it was rumored that Demme had a romantic relationship with Belinda Carlisle, who is a rock singer and has also appeared in the movie Swing Shift. It can be assumed that his past record of love affairs might be the reason behind the split between Demme and his wife.

In a recent award show, Jonathan was invited with his wife, Joanne. But he only showed up in the event without his wife. When asked by an interviewer, he told the reason behind his wife’s absence to be her health issues. Hope this is true and the couple is not divorcing.
