Anthony Crolla defends WBA worldwide lightweight title.

29 year old, Anthony Crolla made a successful defense of his title on the WBA worldwide lightweight title against 33 years old, Ismael Barroso on Saturday, May 7th in Manchester.

The match was one of the most awaited, where Anthony Corolla was to make first defence against the undefeated challenger Ismael Borroso.

Crolla told BBC earlier, "This is my house and nobody comes into my house and takes what I've got."

Crolla successfully defended the previously undefeated challenger this Saturday and protected his title.

Although the Venezuelan, Borroso attacked from the first bell, Crolla stayed with him and began to take control in the fifth as the physical exertion stayed to tell on Barroso. A round later Crolla finished off the Venezuelan challenger.

Crolla 29- told, "There was no way this title was leaving Manchester tonight. This might have just topped the night I won the world title for the first time."

Corolla became world champion with a fifth-round knockout of Darleys Perez last November.
