Anthea Turner all set to hit TV screens again, Television's golden girl to host Channel 5's 'Health Lottery'

Anthea Turner is all geared up to make her comeback as a TV presenter after landing a spot on 'Health Lottery'. The former Blue Peter host is said to be taking over from Ann Diamond on the Channel 5 show.

The television’s Golden Girl is expected to make her major comeback after nine years. Turner, who hosted the National Lottery in 1994 is crossing her fingers with the hope of returning to the mainstream TV show successfully.

A source reported to the Sunday People: “Anthea really wanted this gig as she has not been doing too much lately. This will get her face back on TV.”

So, it seems that the former TV presenter is very much desperate to make it back to the television after going through a number of controversies in her 25 year old career. Moreover, she is a very likely candidate as the new host of Health Lottery as she has hosted National Lottery Live previously at the peak of her television career between 1994 and 1996.

The 55 year old is mostly remembered for the BBC1 hit 90s show “Blue Peter” where she was the 19th presenter. The former children's TV presenter reached at the height of her career while hosting the award winning show.

Turner's private life has always been featured in tabloids. She is very famous for her relationship with her fellow Stoke resident and one-time DJ co-worker Bruno Brookes. They married her manager, former DJ Peter Powell in 1990 but they separated in 1998.

After her divorce with Powell, Turner hooked up with CEO of Imagine Homes, Grant Bovey. Bovey even separated with his wife, Della for Turner. These two remained in an on and off relationship until they married in 2000. Turner does not have any children of her own but she has accepted Bovey’s three daughters as her own.

After catastrophic failures in Bovey's buy-to-let property business, financial problem took hold of their lives. This reportedly led Turner to make television commercials for household detergents to alleviate financial difficulties.

Despite handling all the financial difficulties with ease, Turner and Bovey’s relationship ended in 2012 due to Bovey's extramarital affair with designer Zoe de Mallet Morgan. The once hot and happening couple walked their separate ways on 12 June 2013. And only weeks after the separation with her husband, the blonde beauty started dating millionaire and former Dragons' Den star Richard Farleigh. They spilt after a year of romance.

Turner has also tried her luck in writing. She has published several books in her career. How to be the Perfect Housewife:Management, The Perfect Christmas, How to be the Perfect Housewife: Entertain in Style. She also wrote fantasy novels for children together with her sister, Wendy Turner.

We're all very happy that this single beauty is back and we are very excited to see her kick start her career in Health Lottery. The news of her come back has already spread on social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and we all hope that this beauty with blonde locks finds her perfect soul mate soon.
