American Football star Devin McCourty, age28, talks about his team, New England Patriots losing to Bronco

Nobody likes losing and Devin McCourty is no different. The football star, who plies his trade with the New England Patriots, was disappointed after the team lost their match against Bronco. In an interview after the match, the cornerback from Nyack, New York was seen lamenting how their plans did not work out and how the entire team had thought they could pull off a win against Bronco. He also praised the opposing team’s tactics and in turn, their coach. For the entire analysis, log on to media.weei.com.

Devin attended Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey and grew up alongside his twin brother Jason McCourty. A fine basketball player as well, he played as a point guard during his younger days. He was not popular during his high school footballing career and recieved only one notable scholarship for athletics. This scholarship was provided by Rutgers. The loss last night to Patriots was their first in this season’s campaign. So, no wonder the entire team was disappointed.

During his college career, Devin played for Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team. McCourty appeared in all 13 games as a freshman and also recorded an impressive 38 tackles. His twin brother also attended the same college and their cornerback partnership resulted in Devin amassing an even more impressive 63 tackles, two interceptions and three blocked kicks. This resulted in him being named in the All-Big East Conference academic selection.

In his final season, or to say in his last year at college, McCourty started all 13 games as the cornerback and also played for the special teams units. That season, he managed a total of 80 tackles and also recorded one interception and 10 pass deflections. Following his impressive run throughout the season, he was eventually named in the All-Big East first team. Devin graduated with a degree in sociology, but, there is doubt if he’ll ever follow that path.

McCourty was drafted by the New England Patriots during the 2010 NFL Draft. A promising player, he has managed to live up to his expectations. He completed his rookie season with 82 tackles, 7 interceptions, 1 sack, 2 forced fumbles and 17 passes obstructed. This, he managed in 16 games, which was basically every game of the entire season. Eventually, he was named in the 2011 Pro Bowl and was also named a First Team All-Pro by the Sporting News. Alongside Ndamukong Suh, McCourty was the only rookie to earn votes, any votes, for the AP Defensive Player of the Year. His success has earned him a contract of a whooping $47 million. His salary also includes a $15 million bonus. The cornerback, who stands at an impressive height of 1.78 m, is definitely leaving the dream.

McCourty is currently in a relationship with his girlfriend Michelle, of whom we know very little. He and his twin brother share the same Instagram account, so it is very difficult to find out who is who. He does have his own Twitter handle however. Anyways, we can confirm that Devin is dating a girl named Michelle. Devin usually refers to his girlfriend as “the doc”. Any more personal information remains unclear.
