Alexandra Tydings, the actress who played lead female role in 1996 movie, Sun Chasers, is a woman of many skills. She has a degree in Film and Critical theory from Brown’s University. Before becoming a successful actor, she worked as a script reader, women’s peer counselor and a sales person in a punk clothing store. She was also the singer and bassist for the band Annabelle Kickbox.

As a child, she competed in an international Irish Dancing competition, where she was representing the United States. Because of her countless talents, Alexandra Tydings is very well respected. She played the role of Greek goddess in 1995 TV series, Xena: Warrior Princess. Many of her admirers claim she is as elegant as she is portrayed in the series, even in life off the reel. They claim she is a “goddess” even off the screen.

Even though the actress has not announced that she is retiring officially, it seems like she will not be appearing in the movies any time soon. Tydings is now working as a rock ‘n roll yoga instructor in her birth city, Washington DC.  She claims that she got the idea of rock ‘n roll yoga from her former trainer.  In her interviews, Tydings has stated yoga has helped her stay in shape and she hopes to make every American interested in yoga through her new approach to ancient Indian practice.

Tydings had to take a long and difficult road for success. After graduating from University, Tydings pursued her passion for acting. She started working in several indie films at the start of her career. Her hard work finally paid off when she was offered a recurring role on a Kiwi TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journey. After her appearance in Hercules, she made consistent appearance in several other TV series, the most famous of which is her role in Xena: Warrior Princess.
