Actress Moran Atias talks about her new tv show "Tyrant", alternative career plans and boyfriends

It’s not always that one sees a foreigner making a name in the Hollywood industry. But Israeli actress Moran Atias has done just that. And the hot diva, who initially made into the industry with some stints in Italy, recently talked about her show Tyrant.

On a talk show, the actress talked about her role as Leila Al-Fayeed and how strong she feels her character is. For those who don't know about this show, Tyrant focuses on a middle-east kingdom story. Bassam, one of the characters, is a pediatrician living in the United States after 20 years of running away. However, unforeseen circumstances cause him to return back to his homeland and Bassam must now confront his brutal older brother Jamal and avert a dangerous conflict. Atias plays Jamal’s wife and (spoiler alert), turns out she had a stint with Bassam as well.

The show has not been one to hit off great, with many people not giving them good reviews. The show was widely criticized for being sluggish and boring, with slow-paced action. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that Moran Atias has definitely made it big with her fine performance. The hot Israeli has been acclaimed for her role and with this series, she has made her way as one of the first Israeli to make a name in this worldwide industry.  The people from the show also only have great things to say about her. The show’s co-creator Howard Gordon was one of the many to heap praises on the model turned actress. Describing Atias as one of the most prepared actors, he went on to say

"She knew this part was hers. There was an inevitability about it. She had a clear idea of who the character was, and she's exceeded expectations."

Initially wanting to be a psychiatrist, the actress plans of joining the Israeli Defense was shattered when she suffered from meningitis. She then turned to modelling, and after some time in Germany, went to Italy where she boosted her modelling career. She also worked as a spokeswoman  for the City of Milan from 2005 till 2006, raising awareness against graffiti and animal cruelty in the city. A humanitarian, Atias also participated in the Artists for Justice and Peace volunteer mission following the Haiti earthquake and took part in a workshop at Cine Institute in Jacmel. A goodwill ambassador for IsraAid, she worked with Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) to organize Cannes Film Festival and has frequently been hosting charity shows.

With fine body measurements and a tall height of 5'9" , the actress, age 34, began her acting career after starring in Italian films such as Gas, Oggi sposi, and Mother of Tears which was followed by appearances in TV shows Crash and the 2013 film Third Person. Much followed on Twitter and Instagram, she has managed to keep her personal life at bay and any disclosure of who her boyfriend may be has been out of reach. But one thing’s certain, she has caught a lot of American eyes!!
