Actress Betty Thomas and her husband, Douglas Thomas getting divorced?

Betty has been active in the acting world since 1976. Throughout her acting career she has given many remarkable performances and she is now the winner of two Primetimes Emmys along with several other awards and nominations. The fact that she has been nominated a total of ten times for an Emmy might be the indication of her remarkable performance. Betty has a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio University. Some of her acting credit includes movies like Troop Beaverly Hills (1989), Prison for Children (1987), etc 

She started her career as director in late 80s with the TV shows like Hooperman and Doogie Howser M.D. Since then she as directed over two dozen movies and TV series. Her most successful movie that she directed is Dr. Dolittle (1998) starring Eddie Murphy who is portrays a role of vet who has the power to talk to the animals. The success of this movies made it span 4 sequels. She has also worked as producer in movies like Charlie’s Angels (2000) and 2002 comedy movie I Spy starring Eddie Murphy. She is a versatile person with talent on vast number of field.

Once in an interview, Betty had state- “I never wanted to be an actor,” she once said. “[During Hill Street] I was always saying, ‘When do I get to direct?’”, which shows her passion towards directing rather than acting.
