Actor Corddry nominated for the Emmy's fourth year in a row

For the fourth year in a row, Robert William “Rob” Corddry, has been nominated for an Emmy’s. The actor/comedian has been nominated for his own production “Children’s Hospital”, an Adult Swim comedy series.

Known mostly for his work as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Corddry has made a name for himself in the comedy world. He was much loved in the show, a paradoxical CNN news show which lampooned current news. He is also known for his role in the comedy film Hot Tub Time Machine, which although not the best of movies, managed to gather praise for the actor. Having won the Emmys consecutively in September 2012 and September 2013, he narrowly missed the prize last year. Now in his fourth nominations this year, he will be looking forward for the prize.

Initially a web series which started from 2008, it debuted on Adult Swim in 2010 and has since gone on to become one of the channel’s finest shows. Childrens Hospital, as the name suggests, is a parody of medical dramas that centers around a children’s hospital named after Dr. Arthur Childrens and will definitely get you hooked.

Apart from the series, the actor/comedian, age 44, has lots of other works to credit himself. Corddry's played the lead character in Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story and starred as the protagonist’s best friend in The Heartbreak Kid. He has also made appearances in other movies which includes Old School, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Failure to Launch and The Ten. Out of all his roles, his major appearances have come in in the movie Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay as Ron Fox, a neurotic and racist agent,  W. as Ari Fleischer, and What Happens in Vegas. After appearing in Hot Tub Time Machine, he went on to co-star in Jonathan Levine's Warm Bodies as the zombie M and if insiders are to be correct, he’s set to appear in the movie The Donor.

Born and raised in Weymouth, Massachusetts to parents Robin and Steven Corddry, he’s the older brother of Nate Corddry, an actor. He is married to Sandry Corddry, whom he met back in 2002. Corddry has two children with wife Sandry: namely Sloane and Marlo Corddry. With roughly 3000 followers on Instagram, the actor is not as popular in this photo uploading site as on Twitter. With more than a million followers on Twitter, he remains one of the most popular figures from the Daily Show. Although not much into Twitter now than he was before, he occasionally does take to this site to interact with his fans.

Leaving you with one of his finest quotes,

“I remember saying in college, probably hiking to the top of a mountain and yelling, that I would never do commercials. The only thing I would ever advertise is Mountain Dew or Apple Computers...products I really believe in. But once I found out how much an Off-Off-Broadway actor makes, I was whoring myself out the next day.”
