'Living Single's Kim Coles marries former cop Reggie Mckiver in an intimate ceremony

For those who think finding Mr.Right is hard after you cross 40, think again because actress and comedian Kim Coles has found her husband in Reggie Mckiver. Coles, who is now at the age of 53, married the former SWAT police officer on June 17 in an intimate ceremony on the tropical island of Dominican Republic. The affair was kept private until late as the Living Single star announced the news on Twitter and also posted a wedding picture on Instagram.

According to Coles, dating McKiver just fell into place.

“I’m 53 and Reggie is 41 but I’m not a cougar. I can’t run that fast. I’m a meerkat or a prairie dog,’ the comedian said. ‘It’s about the right energy. It wasn’t like I was trolling for younger men. It’s about energy. We’re ageless. Just two people on the same plane,’ she concluded. McKiver proposed to Coles at the Olive Garden in March.

The twosome met during a natural hair expo where Reggie was assigned as her security escort. And the rest was history. People mag reports:

"...he was assigned to be her security escort at a natural hair expo, and they were enjoying each other’s company, but they felt something special when Mckiver (who also owns a health food store) took her hand to read her energy and ended up holding it “a little big longer than he should have.”
