On-screen wife Caitriona is Sam Heughen's Real life girlfriend!!

The onscreen couple Sam Heughen and Caitriona Balfe of the Starz series Outlander are alleged to be real-life couple as well. The reel couple have been around the news for the same.

However, the “Outlander” lead pair have been denying such reports. The couple sharing a sizzling onscreen chemistry have impressed everyone with their performance. Scot Actor Sam Heughan plays the male lead, Jamie Fraser while the Irish actor Caitriona Balfe plays the role of his wife; a World War II combat nurse, Claire Beauchamp Randall. Both Heughen and Balfe have been maintaining a single status off-screen.

In one of her interviews, the Outlander star Balfe admitted that even though she is not dating Sam Heughen, they are still good friends. Balfe had told The Wrap in an episode of ‘Drinking with the Stars’ that she and Heughen shared an ‘instantaneous’ chemistry when they first met at her screen test. Heughen who has starred in movies like “Young Alexander the Great”, “Emulsions” and “Heart of Lightness” told in an interview that the passionate wedding scene was just the beginning. The two newlyweds were just getting to know each other. Sam teased that, in future, as their relationship progresses, the scenes will get more intimate.

Claire Fraser reportedly dated Radio4 guitarist Dave Milone. The two broke things after dating for quite some time. Ever since, Caitriona has maintained a single status and so has Heughen.

The couple was praised for their sexy appearance for Emmy Magazine as they looked utterly amazing locked in a passionate embrace.

Their passionate onscreen love scenes has been adding fuel to the rumours of them dating. Their raunchy wedding day sex scene is so far the steamiest of all. A fan posted about the wedding scene on E! Online:

The ‘Outlander’ series has been awarded with a People’s Choice Award for the Favourite Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy show and Critic’s Choice Television Award for the Most Exciting New Series. The show along with the actors have also been nominated for various accolades like Best Television Presentation, Best Actress on Television and many more.

Balfe admits that they instantly became friends and have stayed so ever since. The two have never failed to sing praises of each other’s good looks in interviews. Balfe admits that Heughen is a very calm and laid back person. The “Outlander” couple not only hit it off onscreen but get along quite well together in real life as well however the stars have remained tight-lipped about their relationship status.
