Olympic Fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad Gets her Own Barbie

Not only the little girls but also the ladies are fond of Barbies. And now you will get a chance to see a unique Barbie doll that wears hijab.

Barbie has now released the first ever hijab-wearing barbie doll inspired by American sabre fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad. Check it out:

Barbie has now the newest Shero, and it's about Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad.

Back in 2016,  Muhammad made a history as the first American athlete to compete in the Olympics wearing a hijab. And again, she is making a history and breaking barriers as the first ever hijab-wearing Barbie doll.

According to a press release from Barbie, in the last year's "Shero" Ashley Graham presented Itihaj Muhammad with the new doll. And the announcement was made at Glamour's "Women of the Year" summit.

Muhammad even tweeted that it was one of her childhood dream come true to have her reflection in a Barbie.

Muhammad even got a chance to tour the Mattel factory to see how her Barbie is made. She also expressed the pain of not finding a Barbie doll that resembles like her when she was growing up. She explained:

According to a Barbie Shero, Muhammad also joins the ranks of Ava DuVernay, Gabby Douglas, and Misty Copeland among many other accomplished women who have got a chance to be honored with Barbie dolls of their reflection.
