O.J Simpson's never before seen photographs hours after 2007 armed robbery
The disgraced footballer, O.J Simpson, was spotted on September 13, 2007, drinking at a nightclub with his ex-girlfriend, Christie Prody and her friend, Sandy. Prody was on his lap.
At 7:30, Simpson and his friends; Alexander Walter, Michael McClinton, and Clarence Stewart flounced a room at the Palace Station hotel in Las Vegas to take the memorabilia he believed was rightfully his but was stolen from him. The memorabilia-dealers inside recorded the event which helped them to arrest Simpson for armed robbery on September 16.
Simpson along with his five other men went to the hotel room to reclaim them. Tom Ricco (one of the men involved) shared the conversation to the ABC and said what Simpson told him:
This is not memorabilia. These are personal artifacts that were stolen from me.
'Everyone thinks nothing bad happens to me. Here I am being robbed. Why don't we show the world that I have to go by myself to get my stuff back?'
The memorabilia dealer Bruce Fromong testified the Simpson's trial and set up the meeting with the people who suspected him as a legitimate buyer. Simpson turned up the meeting with other men carrying guns. Later, in the recordings of the robbery, Simpson has recorded shouting:
You think you can steal my s**t?
Later, Michael McClinton revealed that hours after the robbery Simpson got drunk and warned other men not to disclose about the involvement of the guns. Around 7:30 pm (hours after the robbery) on September 13, OJ was all drunk and boldly talked about the crime at the Ghost Bar in the wedding party.
Just a day before on September 15, he served as the best man for the wedding ceremony of his friend, Thomas Scotto at the Little White Chapel. He celebrated the event by holding the bouquet of the bride and champagne in the back of a limo.
Scotto's wedding was what made him drawn to Las Vegas. Scotto is the friend attached by Simpson after he was found liable for the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman in 1995.
Though Simpson case was cleared as the "trial of the century," he still was found responsible for the death of Brown and Goldman in a civil lawsuit filed by their families. In charge of it, Simpson was ordered to pay $33 million to Brown and Goldman's family as a part of the suit by the weekend of September 15, 2007.
Simpson's attorney claimed that he would never be able to play the full amount throughout the life as he was broke. For his survival and make his living, wrote a book "What If," about murders.
Later, Simpson was forced to sell his personal items at the auction to raise money. This included some of the things he stole in the hotel room of the Palace Station. He kept Heisman Trophy, Nicole's wedding ring, and the football from the winning game for sale.
Scotto proved of being one of the good friends of Simpson. Scotto along with Simpson's daughter, Arnelle, and his sister Shirley was present at the granted parole of Simpson in June at Lovelock Center in Nevada.
70 years old O.J Simpson was allowed freedom after he spent around nine years behind the bards. Scotto offered his home to the Simpson to rebuild his life. in the grant of Simpson, Scotto said:
You know, he's my best friend. I love him. I lost contracts with my business because I stuck by him. I have to do what's right, and that's what I felt in my heart
However, back on September 17, 2007, Scotto told The New York Post that the robbery ruined his wedding.
