Model Lily Cole, who is expecting a baby with boyfriend Kwame Ferreira at the age of 27, afraid of pregnancy

Model Lily Cole, who is expecting a baby with boyfriend Kwame Ferreira at the age of 27, is afraid of her pregnancy. For most women having a child is one of the most thrilling moments of their lives. But Cole, unlike other women, is very afraid. She fears that the arrival of the baby might fade her career and the energy she has in herself.

The flame-haired cover star used her very own site, Impossible.com, to share the news of her pregnancy with a simple message written on a Post-It note along with a toy dinosaur. Disclosing the news on Instagram with the fun snap, she wrote: 'The first known impossible baby is being born!

She also said, 'After working together for a long time Kwame and I fell in love, and I am very happy to share our news that we are expecting our first child together…'

Naturally, the announcement was greeted with lots of well-wishes.

The news of her pregnancy spread on Twitter like wildfire. One follower wrote: 'The very best of luck and love to you both. Congratulations!', while another posted: 'Many, many congratulations to you both, wonderful news! X'.

Presenting an episode of Arts night, airing on BBC Two, she said: ‘I’ve always been heavily involved in the arts and I have no intention of stopping any time soon.

“That said, the fear of some sudden creative death is certainly something I’ve pondered over the last few months as I’ve felt my ambition and my energy wane.”

But despite her fear, Cole's happiness has no bounds and she is equally excited and anxious about her future after delivering a baby. She is just 27 and having a baby with her boyfriend Ferreira whom she met when she was in the process of developing 'Impossible' is rather daunting.  But she has been getting some help, even from unexpected avenues.

She said: ‘A pretty fascinating thing happens when you become visibly pregnant. You join a sort of club. Wherever I go I’m welcomed into a conversation I never knew existed.

‘From taxi drivers to supermarket checkout staff to businessmen, telling me their experience of having children. Those more reluctant to share their opinions with a pregnant lady are those who have chosen not to have children.

‘There are many reasons why people choose not to become parents but how it will affect their career and creativity is definitely high on the list and arguably only getting higher for women in the western world.’

Raised in a bohemian household, Cole is the daughter of an artist mother and a boat builder father who left home when she was a baby.

Having started modeling as a teenager, she first appeared on the cover of Vogue at age of 16 and afterward modeled for the French version of Playboy.

We wish her and her family all the best and can't wait to see her new baby!!
