2016 doesn’t seem like a good year for love. While people are still getting over celebrities break-ups, there are rumors of Mitch Albom, an American best-selling author, getting divorced from his wife, Janine Sabino. The couple, who has been married for twenty years, apparently is not getting along well of late.
Mitch Albom, 57, is a best-selling author, nationally syndicated newspaper columnist for the Detroit Free Press, radio host for ABC and flagship station WJR-AM in Detroit and television commentator who appears on ESPN’s Sports Reporters.
Married at the age of 37 in the year 1995, Mitch and Janine are regarded as a perfect couple. Even though they do not have any children; their marital relationship seemed strong and eternal.
Rumors suggest that workaholic nature of author Albom might be one of the reasons behind their rumored split. He has been quite busy with his latest book and unable to spend time with his wife. He is so dedicated to his work that he missed the performance of his wife last month. It is also rumored that Albom has not been attending any family gatherings with his wife.
Strong buzz now claims that Janine Sabino is adamant about the divorce and even after repeated attempts by Albom, things are getting worse.
However, in an interview with one of Albom’s closest friends, his friend was quoted saying that the couple is not headed for a divorce. Hope they are not!
From the best-selling book, Tuesdays with Morrie, Mitch Albom quotes:
“This is part of what a family is about, not just love. It’s knowing that your family will be there watching out for you. Nothing else will give you that. Not money. Not fame. Not work.”
It is high time now that Mitch realizes what he quoted in his book to save his marriage. He must spare some time for his family and wife. They are the ones watching out for Mitch. Not money. Not fame. Not work.
Having achieved national recognition for sports writing, he is perhaps best known for the inspirational stories and themes that weave through his books, plays and movies. Some of his notable works including the international best-sellers are Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Have a Little Faith and For One More Day. All four books have been turned into acclaimed TV movies.
Albom has also been featured on several national television programs, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, NBC’s Today Show, the CBS Early Shoe, Larry King Live, Charlie Rose, Nightline and Good Morning America.
American best-selling author, sports columnist, and radio personality, Mitch Albom has an estimated net worth of $10 million. His books have sold over 35 million copies worldwide.
