Matthew Gray Gubler Net worth, Salary and Career-Know all

If you’re one of those Criminal Minds’ fans who have an entire shrine dedicated to Dr. Spencer Reid, then this little insight of mine about Matthew Gray Gubler may not excite you that much but hey if you decide to lurk around, that’s probably good. We all know there’s nothing as too much of Reid and isn’t Reid the absolute bae?

Isn't he absolutely adorable?                             Source: Tumblr

Whoa! I know you’re drooling but there’s more to Matthew Gray Gubler than playing Dr. Spencer Reid, that’s not the only character he has played. An alma mater of Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Visual, and Performing Arts, and NYU Tisch School of Arts, Gubler was a model prior to stepping into the acting world. He worked with DNA Model Management for high-end designers like Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs among many others. While working as a model, he was also interning for director Wes Anderson, who was the one to encourage him to audition for The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, which would eventually be his debut movie. His performance in the movie led to him landing the role of Dr. Spencer Reid in the CBS hit crime series Criminal Minds in 2005. The role, which earned him all. He is so loved for his portrayal of the criminal profiler Dr. Spencer Reid that he is basically worshiped. I worship him, no shame in that!

In 2006, he landed a small role in the film RV as the disreputable Joe Joe. In 2007, he voiced the character of the smart chipmunk, Simon in Alvin and the Chipmunks and reprised the same voice role in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Alvin, and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked , and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. He has starred in movies as such;  How to Be a Serial Killer, (500) Days of Summer, Life After Beth, and Suburban Gothic. He has also voice roled Winsor in  Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur, Bagdasarian Productions, Jimmy Olsen in All-Star Superman, and The Riddler in Batman: Assault on Arkham.

But acting isn’t the only thing Gubler’s great at, film-making and painting are also his passion. During the making of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Gubler made a documentary titled ‘Matthew Gray Gubler's Life Aquatic Intern Journal’. He has directed and starred in a series of documentaries ‘Matthew Gray Gubler: the Unauthorized Documentary’ which was followed up by ‘Matthew Gray Gubler: The Authorized Documentary’. Gubler directed, edited and co-produced the music video for “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” by The Killers. He has also directed several episodes of Criminal Minds.

The 36-year-old Matthew Gray Gubler has been actively showcasing his painting on his website since 2005. His website features watercolor, gouache, oil, and pastel.  His artworks have been put up at the Gallery of Fine Art in Ostrava, Czech the Western Heritage Museum & Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame Republic, The Little Bird art gallery in Atwater Village, California, and also featured in Juxtapoz magazine.

With a net worth of $1.5 million, Gubler is also quite the philanthropist, the funds he received from selling his original watercolor entitled “Mushface” for $10,100 at auction site eBay. And surprisingly, Gubler is also an ordained minister and performed the wedding of former Criminal Minds star Paget Brewster and Steve Damstra. Well, this is a great thing, after all, he cannot marry all those who love him but he can sure as hell perform their wedding!
