Luke Bryan is an American country singer-songwriter with 24 Billboard number one singles. The recipient of Country Music Association Awards’ Entertainer of the Year, he has sold over 27 million singles and 7 million albums worldwide.

Bryan was born on July 17, 1976, in Leesburg, Georgia to a peanut farmer father, Tommy Bryan, and mother, Le Claire Bryan (née Watkins). At 19, when he was about to move to Nashville, his elder brother passed away in a car accident. Instead, he attended Georgia Southern University, Statesboro and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Business Administration.

Luke moved to Nashville only in 2007 after being persuaded by his father. A few days after his debut in Grand Ole Opry in 2007, his sister Kelly died of an unknown cause. After he arrived in Nashville, he worked in a publishing house and co-wrote Billy Currington’s number one single, Good Directions.

He later signed to Capitol Records Nashville. His debut single, All My Friends Say, co-written with Jeff Stevens reached number 5 on Hot Country Songs chart. He released his first album, I’ll Stay Me, in August 2009. His EP, Spring Break with All My Friends’ was released on March 10, 2009.

Bryan's fourth single, Do I, released in May 2009 peaked at number 2 on Hot Country Songs Chart. His wrote two songs, Rain Is a Good Thing and Someone Else Calling You Baby for his second album, Doin’ My Thing, which both reached number one on the country music charts.

His third and fourth studio albums, Tailgates & Tanlines and Crash My Party, were both certified 4xPlatinum by RIAA. His fifth and sixth studio albums, Kill the Lights and What Makes You Country, were certified 2xPlatinum and Gold respectively by RIAA. Also, he has released four compilation albums, 7 EPs and 25 singles.

Luke is married to Caroline Boyer, who met while in college. The two married on December 8, 2006, and have two sons, Thomas Boyer Bryan and Tatum Christopher Bryan. After Luke’s sister’s husband, Ben Lee Cheshire passed away in 2014, the couple is taking care of their nephew, Brooks and nieces, Kris and Jordan.
