The Lewisham, London native divorced the footballer-turned-sports pundit on a decree nisi on December 29, 2017, which was finalized in 2018. The exact reason for their separation never got the momentum to the media outlet, while it's alleged to be irreconcilable differences.

Moreover, she hinted that her participation in Strictly Come Dancing also had a part in her marriage turmoil, as she stated, "If I'd done the show four years earlier, this wouldn't have happened. I wouldn't have walked away from my marriage."
