2017 has been an incredibly tragic year for Lindsey Stirling who is an American composer, a dancer, violinist, and a performance artist.
The dancer and violinist, Lindsey Stirling is still grieving her late father, Stephen Stirling, who passed away on January 25 early morning after battling throat cancer for years. And now, Lindsey honors her late father on “Dancing with the Stars.” Read more:

Lindsey is mourning the loss of her father, Stephen, who passed away of throat cancer. On Monday, 9 October 2017, she honored her father with her routine for Most Memorable Year Week on “Dancing with the Stars.” She explained:

Lindsey and her pro partner Mark Ballas detailed Stephen’s life through their dancing act. Ballas wore Lindsey’s father’s hat and scarf as his custom. They achieved 26/30 from the judges. Describing the act, Lindsey said:
I feel like I got to thank my dad in a way I’ve never been able to before. I was looking forward to this dance, I was terrified to do it and I’m really happy
Back on January 25, Lindsey announced that her father passed away early in the morning after battling cancer. She took her Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to announce her father’s tragic death.

Before Lindsey released 2016 album “Brave Enough” she described the struggles she went through when she learned about cancer. During that time she lost her best friend, Jason “Gavi” Gaviati.

Back in June 2016, Stephen (a religious educator and author) described his battle with cancer on his website. He detailed his illness, and he was diagnosed for in late 2015.
