Following a concert in Atlanta, legendary musician Prince was rushed to the hospital early morning on Friday after his private plane made an emergency landing in Illinois.

Singer’s private jet made an unscheduled landing around 1 am at the Quad City International Airport in Moline.

Soon after, Prince was taken to a nearby hospital by an ambulance.

There had been several speculations made about the medical emergency and what actually happened to him after sudden landing in a day.

Just hours before the emergency, the Purple Rain singer was performing on stage in Atlanta and seemed totally fine. It was quite unexpected to hear about the unscheduled landing. What had actually happened to the prolific music legend?

According to a spokesman for Prince, the 57-year old singer had been suffering the flu for several weeks and had even canceled two shows in Atlanta.

However, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had still performed for his huge number of fans at Fox Theatre on Thursday night even though he was not feeling well.

After the show, he boarded his jet to fly back home and his condition radically worsened. Such uncertain health complication forced the pilot to make an emergency landing around 1 am in rural Moline, Illinois.

According to TMZ, Prince has been released from the hospital and is at home rest now. He was back on the plane after three hours of receiving treatment.

It seems that Prince has recovered quite soon.

Just after few hours of his emergency landing, he shared on Twitter.

This year had been an extremely tough time for Prince. He had dedicated a song to his ex-girlfriend Denise Matthews aka Vanity whom he lost on Feb 15 due to kidney failure and drug overdose.

We hope his year turns around for the better.
