Kubrat Pulev engages in a pre-fight brawl with Dereck Chisora.
One must be pretty desperate if he can’t wait to take the fight to the ring. Oh, wait! He is not desperate, he is just Dereck Chisora.
Dereck Chisora engaged in a pre-fight brawl with the Bulgarian champion Kubrat Pulev in Germany. They were in press-conference when Chirosa shoved Pulev and started the whole commotion.
They were apparently held down by the guards.
“Are you scared? Are you scared? I’m not messing around. No more Mr. Nice Guy, I’m here to fight! I’m going to take Pulev to places he’s never been before, and I’m going to make him give up. He’s got nothing I’ve not seen before, and he’s never fought anyone like me. I can tell he’s nervous. He’s out of his depth and he’s going to get knocked out!”, said the British boxer after they were separated.
Usually, the two opponents stare down at each other like they are about to eat each other, then they go their separate way, or even shake hands for good sportsmanship. But, Chisora is what Chisora does. The 32-year old assaulted his rival, pulling his head.
We are not really surprised as this is not the first time he has done this. Let’s review some of them. Chisora had spat water on the face of Wladimir Klitschko, got engaged in a rather embarrassing post-match conference rumble after he lost to David Haye. Also, he slapped the Undisputed Heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in the buildup to their fight in 2012. Maybe he just paranoid or just looking for a bad blood between his rivals. We are surprised his opponents haven’t filed any charges against him. Regardless, one thing is sure, Chisora does not have the essence of a good sportsmanship.
The fight between Kubrat andChisoraa will take place on 7th May, Saturday for the vacant EBU heavyweight title at the Barclaycard Arena, in Hamburg, Germany.
