Even though the Africa-born actor started his career in acting as a theatre artist and entered the entertainment industry since 2004, with an Australian TV show named Forensic Investigators, he was known to the world mainly after he was casted in the fourth season of The Vampire Diaries in 2013 as a professor.
Rick, who graduated in acting from Queensland University of Technology in Australia, played the role of Eddie Thawne in the superhero TV series The Flash and was casted as a special guest star in the second season. In 2015, he joined Quantico alongside Indian actress Priyanka Chopra as a recurring character.
