It feels lovely for us readers when we get to hear about celebrities’ pregnancies. There is so much excitement and everyone wants to get updated about it. Another such celebrity who is going to welcome her third child is our Izzie from Greys Anatomy - Katherine Heigl.
It was confirmed on June 2016 that Katherine and her husband Josh Kelley were welcoming a fifth member to their family, a third child! Katherine, 37, and her husband - a singer and a songwriter, who are already parents of two, are pretty excited about their upcoming baby. - a baby boy!
The baby is expected to be born in the first month of 2017. The couple, which got married in 2007, announced the baby news with a rather sophisticated statement, “ The Kelley family is delighted to announce a new addition to the family”. She also took the opportunity to post a picture of her USG on Instagram.
However, the couple welcomed their third child a baby boy named Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr., on December 20, 2016.
Even though the couple has two children already, this was the first time Katherine was having a baby through pregnancy. Their first two children are adopted – a daughter named Naliegh, who was adopted from South Korea in 2009 when she was 9 months old.
Their second child – another daughter named Adelaide, was adopted domestically in 2012. The Killers star took this wonderful opportunity to write about it on her blog where she mentioned – Naleigh and Adalaide are so excited that they cannot wait to spoil the newborn baby. She also adds that she is new to pregnancy but the thrill of having a baby definitely is not new.
Former Greys Anatomy actress Katherine always had a soft corner for adoption because her sister Meg is Korean and Meg was adopted around three years before she was born. During an interview with Parent and Child, she expressed that she wanted to resemble her family and was looking forward to adopting a child from Korea.
Since she always knew she would be adopting and she had grown up watching her parents take care of her adopted sister, it could be known that it was in her genes. In her Interview with P&C, she mentions that her husband Josh bonded very quickly with their first child Naleigh. She even nicknamed her husband - Disneyland Dad. She adds that it was really effortless for him to get along with their children. Her advice to everyone is – not to be discouraged. After all, in the end, the reward would always be fruitful.
We wish you all the happiness and love you deserve! Katherine and Josh are definitely back at square one - changing diapers and feeding milk to their baby boy - just how they did their two children.
