Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick covered Cyndi Lauper’s ‘True Colors’ and people’s who’ve heard it say it’s “sweet and like a rainbow”! This all happened at the Cannes Film Festival where the actors were to preview their new movie “Trolls”. At the movie’s sneak peek, Kendrick and Timberlake performed the sweetest cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors”.
To accompany their lovely voices, they only had an acoustic guitar. Timberlake took the lead on the ballad, slowing things down and keeping things earnest. Kendrick, on the other hand, chimed in on the harmonies with her eccentric voice. Although Kendrick got a bit startled when she first saw the crowd. She reportedly joked about the crowd saying,
"This isn't like a big deal, we're just hanging out in your living room and this isn't a big deal, right?"

And this is not the first time the duo have performed the song, their version of the song is also featured in the movie “Trolls” as a part of its soundtrack. The movie “Trolls” is based on the journey of the troll princess Poppy, played by Kendrick and Branch, played by Timberlake. The movie releases in theaters in November.
