English television presenter Judith chamber who started her career at 13 on BBC is best known for presenting the travel program,’ Wish you were here?’ from 1974 to 2003. She is an actress known for movies, Castle in the Country (2005), Wetty Hainthropp Investigates (1999) and After Noon Plus (1971).

 Judith Chamber got married to Neil Durden- Smith in 1964 and are happily married for over 50 years now. Her husband Neil Durden-Smith is a former English sports commentator and first-class cricketer. They have two children, Mark, and Emma.

Their son has followed their footsteps. Mark Durden-Smith is an English television presenter best known for presenting ITV TV shows such as I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here! Now and This Morning Summer and Sky 1 shows such as The Match and Double or Nothing. He is famous for TV shows like Hell’s Kitchen (2004) and Soapstar Superstar: Bonus Tracks (2006).

Her son Mark in an interview with Independent mentioned his mother is also his mentor who constantly guides him. She has always been guiding him, be it when he was young or now when he has earned quite a name.

He also shared, “It was lucky that my mother was in the industry as she could always help me get placements at local radio stations and newspapers during the holidays, and of course after a course in radio and television journalism I started getting jobs.”

Judith has supported her son from the start and is proud of the progress he has made in his career as a presenter. Both she and her husband have always advised Mark and given him advice and reviews full of constructive criticism.

Mark, on the other hand, does not fail to recognize what a tremendous job his mother has done in her career. He stated in an interview, “TV is phenomenally different today and they used to travel for between six and nine months a year while we did each location in two days – she undoubtedly had the harder job. I wasn't sure I would like leaving my family but I got to visit lots of wonderful places. I can see how it got under her skin.”

Judith and her son Mark appeared on TV together, they were teamed together on ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Episode dated 8 Jan 2008’ and were successful in winning 20,000 Pounds.

Judith had a sister, Sandra Chambers who was also a broadcaster. She died at the age of 74.

Judith was recently on the news with her pictures from a holiday on a beach.
