The Trainwreck actor Judd Apatow has voiced his thoughts on the new developments in the Bill Cosby case. In an interview, he said in an interview with Esquire:
"I don't think there is anything new here. It is only new to people who didn't believe an enormous amount of women who stated clearly that he drugged them. We shouldn't need Bill Cosby to admit it to believe forty people who were victimized by him. I am sure there are many victims who have not come forward. Maybe now more people in show business and all around our country will stand up and tell the people he attacked that we support you and believe you. I also hope Camille Cosby and Phylicia Rashad will now stand with the victims and not with their attacker."
Bill, who has a beautiful wife and is the father of 5 kids, has been accused by more than 2 dozen women that they were drugged and raped by him. In the month of April this year, 3 more women came out and admitted that Cosby sexually assaulted them in the 1970s and 80s, when they were young 20-year-old girls. A woman named Marcella Tate said that she was raped at the Playboy Mansion in 1975, at the age of 27, when she worked as a model for Wilhelmina Agency.
"When we arrived at the Playboy Mansion he asked if I would like to see the mansion and have a glass of wine before I left," she said. "Mr. Cosby brought me a drink and that was my last clear memory. The next cloudy memory I have is that I was in a different room. I was in bed. Bill Cosby was next to me and it didn't appear he was wearing anything," she tearfully expressed her story.
In a statement to ABC News, Cosby’s representative said, "The only reason Mr. Cosby settled was because it would have been embarrassing in those days to put all those women on the stand and his family had no clue.”
"That would have been very hurtful,” he added.
Bill, net worth $400,000,000, has been a part of movies like Top Secret and Let’s Do It Again. He has been called ‘one of the world's most well-known entertainers and comedians’ in his IMDB bio. The already famous Cosby’s popularity reached new heights with every new development in his case. Judd isn’t the only person who has expressed his feelings about Bill.
Several Hollywood names have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions.
Jill Scott tweeted:
I stood by a man I respected and loved. I was wrong. It HURTS!!! When you get it ALL right, holla.
James Gunn tweeted:
"An End to the Cosby Defenders?" I thought there would have been an end when 46 PEOPLE ACCUSED HIM OF THE SAME THING.”
